Who is Mars Hoffa?

Moustapha Sylla better known as Mars Hoffa, born in Newark, New Jersey with Senegalese roots (West Africa) is an artist whose realities and visage are portrayed within his music, lyrical cadence, and style. Eager and passionate about his music, Mars Hoffa unexpectedly delivers something "new" while experimenting and painting pictures over an entire Ep solely produced by Rashaad Taylor titled “Black Market.” Within this installment, Mars delivers when expressing his culture yet reflecting about his immediate surroundings while elegantly channeling upbringing in Dakar and the City of Newark, immediate issues and moral gems we should live by. Still paying homage to the many different sub genres of hip hop which have helped formed his own lane, Mars Hoffa has left his mark as an upcoming artist after receiving great feedback from a broad fan base and blogs. “LONGSHOREMEN: A Prelude to Black Market” was released during the first week of August after Hoffa decided to cater to his fans who awaited “Black Market.” Black Market was released on November 21, 2013.

Jay-Z, the hip hop icon, artist, and business mogul now adds
the role of ‘author’ to his ever growing list of titles. Along with David Droga,
Eric Hadley, GM Bing, they reveal of one of the most iconic images
from the Decoded viral campaign, a page from JAY-Z’s book Decoded.
In line with the campaign roll-out the page was unveiled in the most
surprising of locations. The remaining pages will be discovered by his
fan’s during the Droga 5 inspired campaign running
from now until November 20th.
DECODED will be released November 16 from Spiegel & Grau,
an imprint of the Random House Publishing Group.

Featured Friday Photography Art: "Heartfelt" - By Ade Olisa
The portrait of this man was not premeditated or planned. It was during a concert in Montego Bay, Jamaica where the internationally recognized artist, Jah Cure was performing on stage. The performance was so touching, the type that would give any person goose bumps, and as you can see this man could not hold back his emotions. This was a beautiful moment and I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to capture it. It was deeply heartfelt.
